3370 Göttsbach an der Ybbs, Felderstraße 24
The 2,983 m² heritage-protected cemetery was established around the mid-19th century. It served as the burial site for the deceased members of the Jewish community of Ybbs, as well as for those from the Mostviertel and the western Waldviertel regions. The gravestones found in 1945 were partially arranged in a double row at the center of the cemetery due to a lack of precise knowledge of their original locations.
The cemetery has been excellently maintained by the municipal authorities of Ybbs an der Donau.
The restoration of the cemetery was funded by the Fund for the Restoration of Jewish Cemeteries in Austria and the state of Lower Austria. The extensive renovation work was completed in 2019.
The cemetery remains closed to visitors until further notice due to the restoration of the entrance gate.
Supported by the state of Lower Austria.
